Swim School Information
UPDATE 4/1/2024:
Spartan Swim School is a swim lesson program offered by Recreational Sports and Fitness Services department. Class sizes are limited to 14 - 15 students. Our goal is to keep the number of students assigned to an instructor low to ensure a quality swim lesson and accelerated learning. Classes are not designated by skill level, each class is adjusted to meet all the needs of the participants which allows for families or friends to have students of different levels in the same class. Class offerings are based on the Michigan State University semester calendar: Fall Semester Session (begins in September), Spring Semester Session (begins in January) and Summer Semester Sessions (begins in June).
Online registration is the only method of enrollment for Spartan Swim School. Please click HERE(session OPEN) To view the upcoming classes and registration site. Phone, Walk-in and Pre-registrations are not accepted. Swim make-ups are not allowed unless there was a cancellation due to weather or a pool closure.
All Spartan Swim School Classes are held at the IM Circle pool. Entrance for the swim school is through the balcony doors located up the stairs once entering the IM Circle lobby. The pool facility has only a male and female locker room and a Family Locker room. If you seek special accommodations please notify the swim coordinator.
