Each intramural activity is administered in accordance with rules set by a national governing body. Those standards are sometimes modified to fit within the scope of the intramural sports program. Below, you will find the modifications specific to each intramural activity offered at MSU.

Recreational Sports and Fitness Services at Michigan State University plans to address the concern with head injuries/concussions amongst athletes involved with Club and Intramural Sports. The concussion management plan will include how to prepare for, recognize, and address concussions among recreational sport athletes.

The following services are offered free to all intramural and club sport athletes:

One of the most difficult tasks in any intramural program is the recruitment and training of student officials—the backbone of our Intramural sports program. The primary prerequisites for all officials are dependability, self-confidence, a willingness to learn and study the rules, and the ability to communicate tactfully with participants.

Are you interested in getting involved?!? Special Olympics MSU (SOMSU), the Registered Student Organization (RSO), works closely with IM Sports to recruit athletes and partners to participate in Unified Sports and also coordinates various social events.

How to Register:

Intramural Sports by definition means "within these walls." All games are played on campus.
